Band 4 is the highest and indicates “extensive knowledge of TKT content areas”

Managing the teaching and learning process

  • TKT is a test of professional knowledge for English teachers. It consists of 3 modules. Module 3 focuses on: 1.using language appropriately for a range of classroom functions 2. identifying the functions of learners’ language 3.categorising learners’ mistakes 4.options available to the teacher for managing learners and their classroom in order to promote learning. Results are reported in four bands. Band 4 is the highest and indicates “extensive knowledge of TKT content areas”
